WE Are Terrorists!

In Canto III, line 9 of Dante Alighieri’s 14th century epic love poem the Divine Comedy, Dante passes through the gate of Hell that bears the inscription, “Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch’intrate“, (“Abandon all hope, ye who enter here”), a fitting reference to his vision of Hell, “the Inferno,” a place of horrific torture and endless pain reserved for the enemies who had offended him.

Last week on Fox News Radio, the former head honcho of the violent, Weather Underground and Chicago buddy of Barack Hussein “Barry” Obama, Bill Ayers, expressed his radical opinion that America, the country he betrayed and which forgave his betrayal, is a terrorist nation responsible for creating bloodthirsty groups like ISIS committed to America’s destruction.

In view of his past and current contempt for our country, it’s regrettable that William Charles “Bill” Ayers has yet to suffer the exquisite horrors of Dante’s “Inferno.”

The 71 year old “counterculturist,” (a euphemism for terrorist), is notorious among law enforcement authorities although he is much less known in public circles for his 1960′s activism retired from the College of Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago. 

There he held the titles of Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar, positions conferred on him despite his unapologetic involvement with the Weathermen, a terroristic, Communist, revolutionary group that boasted of bombing municipal buildings, police stations, the U.S. Capitol, and the Pentagon in the midst of the Vietnamese War.

You see, bombings and inciting chaos are invariably forgivable and then rewarded by America’s education elitists as long they are committed to exposing supposed American military atrocities or condemning alleged public hypocrisy and unrelated to America’s efforts to sacrifice the lives of tens of thousands troops in the name of preserving our future way of life.

It’s rare that the scourge of Planet Earth ever engages in public displays of humor but occasionally, if accidentally, radical Muslim fruitcakes do sometimes practice policies that can best be classified as farcical rather than in their more customary acts of domestic and international terrorism.

Westerners are much more familiar with Islamic lunatics bombing and wreaking havoc on their own defenseless people as well as innocents in other nations they regard as Great or Lesser Satans and miscellaneous enemies they have warred against for centuries than in entertaining anyone.

Muslims typically just kill their foes in a variety of horrendous ways such as when they brutally behead American and British journalists.

They also drag women like 25 year old Coptic Christian Mary Sameh George from her car in Cairo for the crime of hanging a cross from her rearview mirror and further punished her by beating her, slitting her throat, and stabbing her to death while she was trying to deliver medicine to a sick, elderly woman.

However, none of that is meant to suggest Allah is not a just god, nor a god devoid of a decent sense of humor.

According to the People’sCube.com, one of Islam’s most recent exhibitions of such jocularity followed up last year’s International Woman’s Day story concerning Indonesia’s prohibitions on female flatulence in Indonesia.  

Local Indonesian female flatulence expert, Fartima Passagasiya, discussed how that government prohibition has benefited women and minorities over the course of the last year.

And, who can deny that’s funny?

Now that the presumptive 2016 Democrat Party nominee for president and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has seconded the current Secretary of State John Kerry in determining that climate change is easily the greatest threat to the future of the planet and America’s national security than all the other dangers confronting us and the rest of the world today, it might seem a tad impertinent to suggest that Democrats may be inhaling a lot of the mind-altering pot smoke that President Barack Hussein Obama once loved so much.

However, as impertinent as it may be, the charge is well-founded.

Clinton and Kerry, like Obama, believe that no national or international crisis, not worldwide Muslim terrorism, not the ongoing economic doldrums and related unemployment, and not any of the other serious and multiple issues facing us today are more dangerous to peace and security than the perils of climate change.

That fixation explains a great deal about skewed Democrat positions and their flawed thinking.

Defending why the president has placed climate change at the top of his priority list, Sec. Kerry unequivocably declared in August that the global impact of climate change is “the biggest challenge of all that we face right now.” 

Kerry subsequently cited biblical imperatives to support his view that reversing those changes is critical to saving “Muslim-majority”countries from the consequences of their environmental impact.

And, echoing both Kerry’s and Grand Climate Guru Al Gore’s dire warnings, Hillary Clinton said last Thursday at Sen. Harry Reid’s annual National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas that, “Climate change is the most consequential, urgent, sweeping collection of challenges we face.  The threat is real, and so is the opportunity . . . if we make the hard choices,” the last remark clearly an allusion to her underselling recent book of the same title.

Whatever Americans think and feel about the country and its people, few of us would argue that the Jewish state of Israel is not totally justified in retaliating against Hamas in Gaza. 

In “Brave New World,” Aldous Huxley wrote of that totalitarian world’s dictum that, “Ending is better than mending.”  Mending the rifts between Israel and Hamas, healing the enmity between Israel and its Islamic enemies is as beyond rational expectation as mending the senseless rift between America and Islam. 

Muslim leaders contend that 9/11, and the attacks which preceded it–the first bombing of the WTC in 1993, the bombings of our embassies and the USS Cole as well as all the subsequent threats–were perpetrated by Islamic extremists, jihadists not representative of the world’s 1.2 billion followers of Muhammad and the Koran.  Yet, no Islamic state has ever unequivocally denounced those extremists or taken forceful actions to rein them in. 

Like people, nations are known by the company they keep.

Try to imagine tens of thousands of deadly rockets raining down on American cities, everywhere from Oregon to Nebraska to Alabama to New York, and hundreds of millions of us hiding in bomb shelters in the hope we and our families could avoid being blown to bits.  That grisly scene is replicated daily on a smaller scale in Israel and its population of six million as contrasted with our 314,000,000 residents.

Now, try to visualize the United States of America, the last standing superpower on the planet, arguably the most powerful nation in the world and the home of the supposed leader of the Free World, patiently sitting, waiting, and dawdling, insanely anticipating the next crazed Islamic attack on our homeland as if we were nothing more than a banana republic awaiting another revolution.

We’ve deceived ourselves into thinking that we’ve done all that’s humanly possible to forestall another 9-11, or worse, even as we prepare for the worst.  Even liberal-leftists such as Sen. Diane Feinstein concede we are no safer now than we were thirteen years ago.

What’s absent from that terrifying picture is the reality that there is no need for Americans to hunker down and prep for catastrophe if only we would demand our country assert its unrivaled power and threaten to decimate not only known Islamic terrorists but every last remnant of their enclaves and, if and when the unthinkable happens, if we are attacked again, following through on our warning by returning Muslim lands to the seventh century, a time which many of them never left.

Is that solution brutal and merciless?  Yes, it is.  Is it potentially ruinous of America’s reputation in the world?  It could be.  Is it unprecedented?  In scope, perhaps.

Although impeachment of government officials in America–most often federal justices–is not at all uncommon, impeaching the President of the United States is a grave undertaking which, due to its gravity, has rarely been attempted in our 225 year history; only two of our forty-four Chief Executives, Andrew Johnson and William Clinton, have been successfully impeached and both were acquitted.

Often misunderstood, impeachment is actually nothing more than an accusation, an indictment brought against a federal official which, in the case of a president, is tried in the U.S. Senate with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presiding and requiring 66 2/3% of senators present for conviction.

Much as I have never favored impeaching President Barack Hussein Obama for his many egregious  ”high crimes and misdemeanors” and, most recently, treasonous acts he has been accused of committing over the course of his five plus years of his presidency, it may now be time to consider that momentous and dire step in order to preserve what is left of our Constitution and the constitutional protections of American citizens.

The chief reason many concerned Americans, far more astute than I, have opposed the impeachment route to remove Obama from office has been, frankly, fear for our country’s safety and survival should he be convicted and forced to resign the presidency.

Due to the usually blind, unquestioning allegiance of Obama’s chief constituency, African-Americans, there is a significant  possibility the United States would face unprecedented upheaval, rioting, and literal insurrection by that community who would be incensed over the impeachment and conviction of the first black president.

Supplemented in those upheavals by malcontents who have long agitated for our downfall, they might just succeed in effectively destroying the country.

However, as risky as it is but in view of recent demonstrations that the Obama administration has utter contempt for the Congress, the Constitution, and the American people, it’s time to seriously consider indicting the president for his high crimes before he goes any further down the path to dictatorial rule. . . .
