No Time for White Guilt Syndrome

No Time for White Guilt Syndrome

Many Americans attribute Barack Hussein Obama’s electoral victory in 2008 to the after-effects of white guilt, a sense of collective responsibility for the national sin of slavery even though that institution had been abolished more than 150 years earlier and despite the fact no living American had any direct involvement in either the slave trade or its consequences on blacks.

Those suffering from the white guilt syndrome helped re-elect Obama in 2012 for much the same reasons, reasons which were misplaced and ironic considering that the president went on to become the most racist chief executive as well as the most racially divisive president in America’s history. . . Connecting Logical Dots

Connecting Logical Dots

Kids love connecting the dots, the same, simple game many adults can’t quite figure out especially when the dots make sense.

Well, there are no real dots to connect in our illogical world but try connecting some logical dots anyway–without cheating or the Thought Police will come and take you away!

POLITICAL DOTS:

President Barack Hussein Obama is an abject failure yet he still has a 40% approval rating, albeit among low-information voters.  Is his continuing if relative popularity connected to the fact those voters would vote for him if he hated America?

EBOLA DOTS

The ebola virus is spreading like the plague it is yet America is being told not to panic since the president isn’t panicking at all.  Are all the warnings the product of someone’s wild imagination and subservience of bureaucrats?

Lena Dunham's OCD Fantasies

Lena Dunham's OCD Fantasies

The much-acclaimed, ultra-liberal, tatooed feminist 27 Lena Dunham–actress, screenwriter, producer, director, creator, writer and star of the HBO series Girls, and newly-disclosed college rape-date victim won’t be getting married any time soon not because of her almost instant stardom or due to her alleged rape by an unidentified conservative student at Ohio’s Oberlin College some years ago but because gay marriage is not yet legal throughout America.

Or, so she says.

However, how the increasingly-toothy Dunham’s marital future relates to universal official sanction for men wedding other men and women wedding other women is unclear at except, perhaps, through her distorted, obsessive compulsive prism.

Diagnosed with OCD in childhood, at 27, Dunham still receives low maintenance doses of antidepressant drugs designed to reduce anxieties and whatever else bothers her mind, body, and spirit.

Without disparaging the effects of any disease–I have more than my share, thank you very much–according to the National Institute of Mental Health, OCD results only in temporary relief from patient anxieties and goes far beyond manically checking, touching, and counting things.  It extends to “frequent thoughts of violence and harming loved ones, persistently thinking about performing sexual acts the person dislikes, or having thoughts that are prohibited by religious beliefs. People with OCD may also be preoccupied with order and symmetry, have difficulty throwing things out (so they accumulate), or hoard unneeded items.”

Such a definition would account for Dunham’s never-before-reported date rape as well as for her delayed anger over the drunken Oberlin incident. . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39399.)

Nightmares from Obama's Brother

Nightmares from Obama's Brother

. . . Those are excerpts not from President Barack Hussein Obama’s ghost-written, mostly-fictional, alleged memoir, “Dreams from My Father.”  Rather, they are the words of Mark Obama Ndesandjo, Barack’s Kenyan half-brother, from his self-published autobiography, “An Obama’s Journey: My Odyssey of Self-Discovery across Three Cultures.”

Mark Obama Ndesandjo had much to gain and little to lose in publishing his book at this time since his half-brother is on his last legs as president and facing two long years as a disgraced nonentity in office, disgraced by five and a half years caused and cursed by his own incompetence and arrogant presumption that he was ever qualified to seek the office of president of the United States.

As quoted in Britain’s Daily Mail, (few American publications have even mentioned the book’s existence), Mark and Barack “have never seen eye-to-eye because ‘Barack thought I was too white and I thought he was too black’” although Mark did express his fond hope that the brothers could resume family ties following Barack’s presidency.

Born to a white mother like the president, Obama Ndesandjo . . .  (Read the excerpts and more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38618.)

America Can't Trust Thomas Frieden's CDC

America Can't Trust Thomas Friedan's CDC

Among my favorite Ronald Reagan quotations are, “Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first” and “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”

Without suggesting that someone is a whore or a governmental waste of protoplasm, both observations are all too applicable to the former Commissioner of ultra-liberal Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Thomas R. Frieden.

Since 2009, MD-MPH Friedan has been the Director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), federal public agencies of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services responsible for controlling health threats from infectious diseases, responding to emergencies, and battling the leading causes of suffering and death in our nation and around the world, according to the CDC website.

The ATSDR website says it “serves the public by using the best science, taking responsive public health actions, and providing trusted health information to prevent harmful exposures and diseases related to toxic substances.”

The chief problems with Friedan, the CDC, and the ATSDR are that all have failed miserably in controling much if any of the suffering and  fatalities related to the deadly Ebola virus now on the precipice of rampaging across America.

It seems some things–such as base politics, political correctness, and gross ambition–take precedence over duty, honor, and competence for some people.  In fact, for all his cheerleading and bluster on the Ebola issue, . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39276.)

What Can We Do?

What Can We Do?

The Ebola virus is about to ravage the planet like no other disease has done in many decades.  The Obama administration has been in the process of destroying everything good America has stood for over the past two centuries.  Our nation is more divided into cynical special interests than it has been since the inauguration of the Civil Rights Movement.  Al-Qaida is “looking to do it [attack America] very, very soon.” Up to a half of American schoolkids speak a language other than English at home.  Crime is as rampant as the economy is moribund in our land.  Weapons of mass and personal protection are being banned with mindless vengeance.

And, our First Lady is pissed that kids nationwide have told the Flotus to stick her child obesity guidelines where school lunches don’t shine.

While all those issues represent threats to America’s future, perhaps our greatest danger rests in the fact we are on the verge of deciding whether to continue on with demonstrably government ineptitude and disastrous policies or to hit a re-set and reverse our various national courses, dangerous chiefly because much of the so-called “24-hour news cycle” is lost, consumed with such matters as where crocodiles gather for lunch on the Zambezi and who last discovered she has been a life-long lesbian.

Readers will debate the truth of real news depending on their social and political perspectives, what’s not open to disagreement is the reality that the United States and the world we once dominated are not the same as they were a mere quarter century back.

Regretably, many Americans and much of the world are perfectly content with the new sea changes which are at variance with what they prefer to acccept as truth.

By all un-emotional standards, America is rapidly deteriorating into the depths of a cowardly, intimidated new world beset by craven politicians. . .

Ebola--Obama's Deadly Politically-Correct Disease

Ebola--Obama's Deadly Politically-Correct Disease

Over a month ago, I published two articles in this space on the subject of the Ebola virus, the first titled, “Ebola–Obama’s Latest Gift to America” and the second a few weeks later titled, “Ebola Spreading Uncontrollably.”

I intended the first piece as a sarcastic indictment of President Barack Hussein Obama and his administration’s ineptitude in dealing with a potential pandemic and concluded by writing, “The poor guy may just stay home in our White House, watch CNN, pray to Allah, and gleefully watch the body count.”

In the second I noted that, “To suggest the Ebola virus could very well and not in the distant future, reach and infect perhaps millions in America may be unnecessarily alarmist but such a suggestion could also reflect a reasonable doubt that Ebola researchers and physicians completely grasp its dangers or, for that matter, whether information as to its proliferation would even be publicized to suppress panic.”
Unfortunately but predictably, both articles are proving to have been all too prophetic and, though the causes are complex, their validity can be attributed mostly to the president’s obsession with political correctness and the attendant P.C. corollaries of self-defensive insecurities that supplement them.

How else do we explain Obama’s repeatedly denigrating the critical interests of the nation he supposedly represents in service to foreign people and countries who present major threats and dangers to America but by an innate fear of offending them?

Now that Brtain’s Daily Mail has dared to front-page the news that most people already expected, namely that Anthony Banbury, the Secretary General’s Special  Representative, has admitted a “nightmare” prospect that the Ebola virus could  easily become airborne instead of only being spread by bodily fluids as heretofore thought, compounded by officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention refusal to divulge any details on precise steps being adopted to contain the disease, suspicions are increasing that panic has set in.

None of that news will influence President Obama’s P.C. approach toward controlling its spread but it all can mean that the simple act of breathing may soon become sufficient to communicate the most dangerous epidemic seen on our planet in many years.

As a fundamentally Christian country, . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39192.)

Dr. Ben Carson's Scary View on 2016

Dr. Ben Carson's Scary View on 2016

Fifteen minutes after famed pediatric brain surgeon Benjamin Solomon “Ben” Carson Sr. delivered President Barack Hussein Obama an unexpected wake-up call with regard to the dangers of political correctness, deficit spending, and  Obamacare at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast, he received a call from the White House demanding he immediately apologize to the president who had been uncomfortably seated two chairs away on the dais.

True to himself, Carson, author of “America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made America Great,” refused to render any apology, saying he “had talked to the president afterwards. He didn’t seem upset and there’s no reason he should be unless what I said applied to him,” which it clearly did.

Although he is widely known for his breakthrough medical accomplishments and outspoken conservative views, Dr. Carson has never been  considered an inflammatory extremist so when he recently predicted that a 2016 presidential election may not ever happen it might be time to sit up and take notice of that ominous possibility.

The popular candidate for the 2016 Republican nomination said just that to a shocked Chris Wallace during his appearance on Fox News Sunday.

Wallace asked, “You said recently that there might not be elections in 2016 because of widespread anarchy.  Do you really believe that?” and Dr. Carson responded that, “I hope that that is not going to be the case. But certainly there is the potential.”

He then provided the rationale for his impressions. . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39176.)

The Roots of Barack Obama's Selective Crises

The Roots of Barack Obama's Selective Crises

From the outset, when Barack Hussein Obama first announced his candidacy for the presidency of the United States in 2007 and through Election Day, Americans of every political stripe have had serious, if often belated, misgivings regarding a candidate with minimal qualifications and experience with all of two years as a U.S. senator presumptuously vying for the highest office in the land and the position as leader of the Free World.

Unfortunately and wrongly, those concerns were frequently dismissed as baseless reflections of racial prejudice against an African-American.

A few days before that election, liberal Charlie Rose made no reference to that canard but astoundingly admitted to liberal Tom Brokaw on national television that, “I don’t know what Barack Obama’s worldview is.”  Brokaw responded, “No, I don’t either” and added that, “We don’t know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy” or the people advising him.

In essence, two of Obama ‘s staunchest supporters were conceding that their chosen presidential candidate was a total enigma.

In short order, although to my knowledge neither Rose nor Brokaw have ever reiterated their qualms, they and the American people have learned a great deal about Obama’s thinking on many issues and about his advisers and we are learning more and more every day about his thinking on both foreign and domestic affairs.

Many of his ideologically-driven thoughts and actions have reinforced the view that Obama was woefully and dangerously unprepared for his office.

For example, just recently, America’s commander in chief decided that the deadly Ebola virus currently confined mostly to west Africa represents a far greater threat to America and the world than any other problems including ISIS terrorists who have vowed to visit their murderous movement on our country and the rest of Western civilization.

There exists no reasonable doubt that Ebola represents a significant danger to Americans’ health and safety but the virus  hardly poses an imminent threat anywhere near comparable to ISIS.

In the unlikely event Obama is right in his comparative threat assessment of Ebola, which the UN Security Council has also called a danger to world peace–without singling out the virus as the most pressing world problem–he felt it merited dispatching at least 3,000 combat troops to Liberia to set up treatment centers in lieu of sending them to Iraq despite the fact they are trained for combat and not for construction missions.

Likewise, Obama has determined that in order to crush ISIS in the Mid East, “boots on the ground” are unnecessary and that America’s potent air power, in conjunction with assistance from our coalition allies, is sufficient to wipe out 32,000 ISIS terrorists.

The problems with his “strategy” are manifold, . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39120.)

Texas, the Eyes of America Are upon You!

Texas, the Eyes of America Are upon You!

Mexico is upset with America’s Lone Star State and has been upset ever since 1836 when Texas won its independence from Mexico and further humiliated and infuriated Mexicans in 1845 when it was admitted to the Union.  That anger intensified this year when Texas Governor Rick Perry was forced by the American government to dispatch National Guard troops to our, and its, southern border.   How Mexico will react to Texas’ possible secession and independence from the United States is unclear, although it’s unlikely Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto will be very pleased if and when that movement succeeds but his reaction is contingent on various factors.

Some background:

After Texans, then known as Texians, launched and won the hard-fought, bloody Texas Revolution in 1835 and Texas was annexed and granted American statehood a decade later, Mexicans were incensed mainly because they felt the huge territory had been stolen from them, a claim that contradicted the historical reality that Mexico had been soundly defeated and had freely signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848.

When Texas Governor Perry sent 2,200 National Guardsmen and Women to the border last month, Mexican President Pena Nieto became upset anew and angrily protested the deployment which was taken due to President Barack Hussein Obama’s refusal to enforce immigration laws and protect our nation’s borders.  Perry acted in Teaxas’ interests by bolstering the Border Patrol, many of whom have been functioning as food service workers and virtual nannies to tend to the needs of the flood of tens of thousands of undocumented, i.e. illegal, aliens.

Those lawbreakers, including untold numbers of mostly unaccompanied Central American children, are being dispersed to undisclosed American destinations, their numbers “untold” because the Obama administration has failed to accurately count them and their destinations”undisclosed”  in spite of Obama’s reiterated pledge of unprecedented government transparency.

President Nieto Pena contended that Texas’ deployment of the National Guard was not only “unpleasant” and “reprehensible” but that the border should not be militarized and any issues should be jointly resolved in particular because Perry’s actions could adversely affect bilateral relations.

In his defense, Gov. Perry has cited the dismal border security which has allowed entry into America of again untold numbers of suspected terrorists, drug traffickers, gang members, and infectious disease carriers, allegations Mexico dismissed without a shred of evidence as “absurd.”

Something is certainly absurd in this situation.  However, it is not anything Perry has said or done but . . .  (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=39022.)

Obama: I'm Not the Cause of People Feeling "The World Is Falling Apart"

Obama: I'm Not the Cause of People Feeling "The World Is Falling Apart"

The artful dodger President Barack Hussein Obama recently explained at a Democratic National Committee barbecue in Purchase, N.Y. that social media and the nightly news–certainly not he–are responsible for creating what he called a common misconception that “the world is falling apart.”

Although he was totally wrong in charging that view is a misconception, Obama was absolutelycorrect in saying, “the world is falling apart” and that scary fact of international life is largely attributable to him.

Our president is fond of shamelessly playing the blame game as cover for his multiple, miserable failures, a ploy second only to his use of the race card as a defense, and he invariably pins responsibility on others for everything from the world’s disintegration to the abject disaster of his legacy issue of Obamacare to the utter failure of his multi-billion dollar stimulus boondoggle that didn’t stimulate much of anything.
There are obviously many problems associated with the titular leader of the Free World consistently hiding behind gross prevarications in order to maintain a semblance of his already-shattered credibility, a tactic that has always been a popular gambit among unethical politicians as an effort to cloud the truth.

However, when the President of the United States regularly trots out the blame card and effectively denies responsibilty whenever anything goes  wrong, he poses a clear and present danger to the safety and welfare of Americans and to the peace and tranquility of the rest of the planet.

As with the of moral of Aesop’s “boy who cried wolf” fable involving a fictional child shepherd who repeatedly deceives the townspeople into believing a wolf is attacking his sheep and, when a real wolf does appear and he again cries for help, the people assume the boy is still lying and the wolf ends up eating his sheep, Obama is endangering everyone he is supposed to be protecting.

One version of that fable concludes with the warning that it “shows how liars are rewarded: Even if they tell the truth, no one believes them,” the precise predicament facing our president today when all but his most stalwart idolators doubt virtually everything he says.

For example, in accusing the media of creating “misconceptions” about “the world falling apart,” Obama is attacking the very same institution, . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38933.)

Democrats, Global Warming, and Deceit

Democrats, Global Warming, and Deceit

Now that the presumptive 2016 Democrat Party nominee for president and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has seconded the current Secretary of State John Kerry in determining that climate change is easily the greatest threat to the future of the planet and America’s national security than all the other dangers confronting us and the rest of the world today, it might seem a tad impertinent to suggest that Democrats may be inhaling a lot of the mind-altering pot smoke that President Barack Hussein Obama once loved so much.

However, as impertinent as it may be, the charge is well-founded.

Clinton and Kerry, like Obama, believe that no national or international crisis, not worldwide Muslim terrorism, not the ongoing economic doldrums and related unemployment, and not any of the other serious and multiple issues facing us today are more dangerous to peace and security than the perils of climate change.

That fixation explains a great deal about skewed Democrat positions and their flawed thinking.

Defending why the president has placed climate change at the top of his priority list, Sec. Kerry unequivocably declared in August that the global impact of climate change is “the biggest challenge of all that we face right now.”

Kerry subsequently cited biblical imperatives to support his view that reversing those changes is critical to saving “Muslim-majority”countries from the consequences of their environmental impact.

And, echoing both Kerry’s and Grand Climate Guru Al Gore’s dire warnings, Hillary Clinton said last Thursday at Sen. Harry Reid’s annual National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas that, “Climate change is the most consequential, urgent, sweeping collection of challenges we face.  The threat is real, and so is the opportunity . . . if we make the hard choices,” the last remark clearly an allusion to her underselling recent book of the same title.

There are so many ironies involving the Kerry and Clinton pronouncements that it is difficult to prioritize them. . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38910.)

Obamacare Death Panels Are Alive and Well

Obamacare Death Panels Are Alive and Well

The former “Paper of Record,” the New York Times which enthusiastically endorsed virtually every feature of the greatest scam ever to be foisted on Americans and America’s health care system, is just as enthusiastically touting the glories of Obamacare death panels, the morbid process of  convincing our sickest and most elderly citizens that they are better off dead and shuffling off to the Great Beyond than draining any more of our precious resources.

And, preferably, shuffling off ASAP!

The Times, like other liberal-leftist proponents of President Barack Hussein Obama’s scheme to socialize America’s medical care and treatment in emulation of the UK’s failed, bankrupt National Health Service with all the attendant NHS documented horrors, didn’t see fit to mention those horrors nor did it mention the Times‘ oft-repeated denials that death panels were an integral facet of Obamacare.

After all, why confuse doltish Americans with ugly truths?

Besides, the 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, had raised a huge stink over Obamacare’s provisions for death panels and was roundly lambasted for her ignorance, so why give her credibility for being absolutely right?

To be sure, the Times‘ article published on Saturday, “Coverage for End-of-Life Talks Gaining Ground” by Pam Belluck, does not describe those conversations between doctors and patients now reimbursed by many Medicare and Medicaid plans as death panels.

Nor does it attribute the ground-gaining to pressures from Obamacare administrators on doctors and medical facilities to curtail and/or radically increase charges for everything from annual breast exams to prescriptions.

Instead, Belluck credits the avid Obamacare supporter the American Medical Association and cost-conscious insurance companies for agitating in favor of death panels, now deviously and euphemistically called “advanced care planning” since the term “death panels” is so very unsettling and misleading.

Belluck anecdotally cites the sentiments of 80 year old Mary Pat Penell who allegedly told her doctor during her end-of-life discussion, . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38820.)

The Ferguson Aftermath: More of the Same

The Ferguson Aftermath: More of the Same

Two years ago, the rabidly-leftist Center for American Progress (CAP) published a report by Sophia Kerby detailing the gross inequities in America’s justice system.

A self-described “civil rights and social justice advocate passionate about issues that impact communities of color and women,” Ms. Kerby is the Special Assistant for Progress 2050 at American Progress and serves as the Policy Associate for the Brennan Center for Justice working with “civil rights, social justice, and democracy organizations to develop policy goals and share information critical to advancing civil rights in federal policy.”

Unfortunately, though the information in her analysis of the comparative number of arrests, incarcerations, and executions of blacks as contrasted with whites in America cited a number of statistics, it omitted the reasons of those arrests, etc.

For example, Ms. Kerby references the fact that people of color, some 30% of the U.S.’ population, account for 60% of men in prison and that incarceration rates of men of color far exceed the rates of white men.

Among other damning facts, she correctly states that:

–A third of black men will end up in prison at some time in their lives and incur longer sentences than whites;

–Individuals of color have a disproportionate number of encounters with law enforcement, attributable to racial profiling;

–Non-white students face more frequent and more severe punishment in our schools and are arrested more often than white kids;

–The war on drugs has been waged mainly in minority communities and people of color are usually charged with ”higher offenses”;

–Over the thirty year span of 1980 through 2007, a third of the 25.4 million adults arrested on drug charges were African-American;

–Voter laws prohibiting those with felony convictions from voting ”disproportionately impact men of color.”

What Sophia Kerby curiously and egregiously fails to mention are the uncomfortable realities that people of color are disproportionately disposed to commit crimes and, by virtue of that fact, are treated appropriately in our courts of law and are being arrested, incarcerated, denied voting privileges, etc. just as whites would be. . . . America Goes to Pot

America Goes to Pot

When liberal-leftist comedienne/actress Sarah Silverman surprisingly won an Emmy Monday night and in front of millions of viewers including children, she brazenly displayed the vaporizer pen she uses for smoking marijuana and later told an NBC reporter it contained liquified pot.

An open aficionado of the drug, Silverman, who told an interviewer last year that, “I have very few vivid memories because I smoke a lot of pot,” unfortunately is not an exception among the entertainment set but rather serves in the vanguard of a radical movement in our country to intentionally or unintentionally make us forget how we got here.

Led by our Pothead-in-Chief, America is rapidly and inexorably becoming the world’s foremost exemplar of the social, legal, and medical repercussions that legalized marijuana is capable of wreaking on a nation.

Sure, other countries are way ahead of us in making weed legally available to the masses–think the Netherlands, for example–but what other country is able to boast that its head of state, the person who should be a role model for his people, started out in life as a pothead?

In his supposed memoir, “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” Barack Hussein Obama proudly conceded he was a heavy pot smoker in his misbegotten youth in Hawaii as well as a member, indeed, a leader, of law-breakers known as the “Choom Gang,” choom referring to smoking weed.

According to David Maraniss’ “Barack Obama: The Story,” then-Barry Obama popularized a new, pot-smoking trend known as “TA” (“total absorption”) and “roof hits,” (smoking joints with car windows rolled up to keep any smoke escaping), and he often cut the choom line when a joint was being passed around yelling “interception.”

In 2004, President Obama sent a mixed message when he declared, “I think the War on Drugs has been an utter failure . . . but I’m not somebody who believes in the legalization of marijuana.”  In other words, the War on Drugs has been a total travesty, thereby suggesting that marijuana and other drug laws were somehow flawed, at the same time he indicated he fully supported their enforcement.

To his credit, and he deserves precious little credit for anything, . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38750.)

When P.C. Runs Amok

When P.C. Runs Amok

Officials at Brooks Elementary School in Newnan, Ga. have banned birthday cupcakes, birthday cookies, indeed, any goodies associated with birthdays because they are worried that kids with food allergies might feel sad and excluded. They made no mention of whether young boys and girls at Brooks could feel sad over being unable to share their special days with classmates or whether anyone had complained about the long tradition.

At Dyer County High School in Tennessee, senior Kendra Turner graciously said “Bless you” in violation of a class rule when another student sneezed and was rebuked by her teacher for using language reserved for church.  The teacher added that “godly speaking” was verboten in her class and Ms. Turner courageously responded that it was her constitutional right to say what she did, was remanded to the principal’s office, and was promptly suspended from school.

The Fresno Unified School District hired Peter Beck to teach three cultural studies classes in its new Rutherford B. Gaston Middle School since Mr. Beck was deemed the best qualified candidate for the position.  Some local Fresno residents objected, not on the basis of his qualifications or the content of his character but due to the color of his skin with activist Rev. Karen Crozier explaining, ”We’re just saying what the community wants. We didn’t fight for a white male or female teacher to educate our babies.”

However the birthday cupcake fiasco in Georgia, the mini-constitutional crisis in Tennessee, and the black bigotry in California eventually play out is somewhat irrelevant.  The overriding issue is when Americans’ patient tolerance of intolerant political correctness in our schools and society will wear out?

Were P.C. extremes confined to three states, they would still be unacceptable but, in fact, the insidious disease of political correctness is pervasive in America and goes far beyond birthday cupcakes, religious freedom, and agitators clamoring for racially exclusionary rights.

A brain child of liberal-leftists, political correctness was originally conceived as an effort to forcibly impose their standards with regards to correct language usage and their views on ideas and policies regarding any sort of discrimination against designated “protected classes,” such as gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age and disability.

Most likely by design, P.C. has devolved into a sickness infecting virtually every facet of American life, extending even into our nation’s immigration policies, our domestic policies, and our international relations.

For example, we have been conditioned by politically correct fanatics to willingly accept . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38664.)

Obama's Complicity in the Beheading of James Foley

Obama's Complicity in the Beheading of James Foley

President Barack Hussein Obama interrupted his latest Martha’s Vineyard vacation to devote all of five minutes in condemning in no uncertain terms the grisly, videotaped beheading of American photojournalist James Foley and the Muslim perpetrators of that horrendous crime before hopping on his motorcade to tend to more important business, working on his golf game.

Well, he didn’t actually condemn adherents to the religion of peace but he defiantly did say, “One thing we can all agree on is a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century.”

That alone, in his mind, would be more than sufficient to deter a threatened second beheading of an American should the U.S. continue bombing the barbaric, Islamic terrorists.

If not in name, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), al-Qaeda’s philosophical heirs, are virtually synonymous, especially in regard to their murderous jihadist practices and their quest for a worldwide caliphate based on Sharia law and the Koran.

If successful, their movement would effectively turn back the world’s clock to the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s seventh century.

From an expedient political point of view, it’s eminently comprehensible why Obama would abbreviate his statement on James Foley’s brutal decapitation.

As with the assassination of U.S. Major General Harold Greene in Afghanistan on August 5th, the first killing of an American general in a war zone in 141 years, to draw excessive attention to either tragedy would only vividly highlight yet other failures of his policies so our commander in chief chose to skip Greene’s funeral and minimize his comments on Foley’s murder.

With regard to the latter, Obama had an even greater incentive to go golfing instead of elaborating on the moral degradation of Islam–his direct complicity in Foley’s kidnapping and torture two years ago as well as his involvement in Foley's brutal decapitation. . . Trayvon Kicked to the Curb, Michael Takes Center Stage

Trayvon Kicked to the Curb, Michael Takes Center Stage

Remember Trayvon Martin?  Of course you do.

For those who don’t, Trayvon was the 17 year-old, unarmed Sanford, Florida black teenager who was shot and killed by white neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman in 2012 and then crowned the new poster boy for black racist agitators, supplanting their previous hero, Rodney King.

Zimmerman was subsequently exonerated by a jury of his peers on the grounds of self-defense.  His exoneration didn’t mean a tinker’s dam to the agitators who continued to campaign for his assassination and inflamed the nation into an orgy of demonstrations, looting, and student strikes–all in Martin’s honor.

In point of fact, Trayvon Martin may have been a chronological teenager but he was also a muscular, six-foot one thug and an avid strret fighter with a record of drug use and possession of burglar tools, although none of those negative character features were brought up either at Zimmerman’s trial or by Trayvon’s chief fan club, the New Black Panther Party.

Instead, he was lauded in the mainstream media as an innocent, young kid who had been senselessly murdered and was then virtually adopted posthumously by Barack Hussein Obama when the president said, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

Now, fast forward to 2014 and Ferguson, Missouri’s 18 year-old Michael Brown.

The unarmed Brown was shot and killed last Saturday by a Ferguson police officer but few other details on the circumstances of the shooting had been made public, not even the cop’s name or race.  Until today when the officer’s name was released.

In view of the numerous death threats made against him and the murderous reputation of the New Black Panther Party which agitated for that information, that move might be tantamount to complicity in murder.

The police also released today videotape evidence that Brown wasn’t exactly your average black kid in Ferguson, unless the average black kid in the St. Louis suburb engages in stealing cigars from a local convenience store and strong-arming a white clerk half his size.

That surveillance video puts the lie to claims that Brown was simply . . . Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38549.)

Chaos, Anarchy, and Obama

Chaos, Anarchy, and Obama

Former United Nations ambassador John Bolton recently observed that because of our president’s leadership deficits,  “the world’s descending into chaos,” a chaos that could result in anarchy should America continue to retreat from its responsibilities.

Ambassador Bolton was referring to foreign affairs but his ominous warning could apply equally to the incipient, chaotic, domestic anarchy on America’s horizon attributable to the commander in chief.

My bride of 46 years believes that she would prefer not to live in interesting times, referring to the supposedly apocryphal, ancient Chinese curse which may be based on a Chinese saying that it’s “better to live as a dog in an era of peace than a man in times of trouble.” (Wikipedia)

Both interpretations amount to the same thing, namely that “interesting times” pretty much equates with the idea that even mongrels are better off living their lives in peace rather than human beings living amid conflict.

Apocryphal or not, the times Americans are currently living in and enduring are times that could certainly be characterized as “interesting” as well as unprecedented, a period in history during which most of us may not yet exactly be living like dogs, (which the Chinese eat, along with cats), but which can readily be categorized as troubling for anyone relatively conscious of the world we live in and liberal-leftists are easily the chief contributing factors to our disturbing, interesting times and our troubled minds.

When officials in the Obama administration and supposedly erudite pundits and other members of the intelligentsia pursue policies, make statements and allegations at variance with reason, should we blindly accept their obviously radical ideas and decisions?

What if they are spewing opinions so far removed from the realm of truth, are we still expected to listen up and heed them?

I think not.  However, judge for yourself . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38201.)

NBC News Skews Its Own Poll

NBC News Skews Its Own Poll

In the jaded tradition of the New York Times’ unstated motto of printing all the news it sees fit to print and trashing all the rest, NBC News spinmeisters managed to distort the results of a poll it conducted in conjunction with the Wall Street Journal.

While headlining the outcome, “America’s Fed Up: Obama Approval Rating Hits All-Time Low, Poll Shows” and citing such results as, “Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrongc direction” with “President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up,” NBC went on to downplay its own headline.

Instead, the network focused on the “lingering” consequences of the Great Recession rather than on the causes of that lingering, Obama and his failed economic policies, and on what type of posters people would carry.

The telephone survey of a thousand registered adults was conducted by Democratic pollster Peter Hart and Republican pollster Bill McInturff over the course of five days (July 30-August 3, margin of error 3.1%) yet the NBCNews.com report by Mark Murray ignored their most salient findings.

In a transparent effort to deflect as much of the blame as possible for American discontent from Obama, Murray emphasizes the disaffection with Republicans and Congress, (“But if the president’s numbers are bad, Congress’ are even worse”). . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38420.)
