Obamacare Death Panels Are Alive and Well

Obamacare Death Panels Are Alive and Well

The former “Paper of Record,” the New York Times which enthusiastically endorsed virtually every feature of the greatest scam ever to be foisted on Americans and America’s health care system, is just as enthusiastically touting the glories of Obamacare death panels, the morbid process of  convincing our sickest and most elderly citizens that they are better off dead and shuffling off to the Great Beyond than draining any more of our precious resources.

And, preferably, shuffling off ASAP!

The Times, like other liberal-leftist proponents of President Barack Hussein Obama’s scheme to socialize America’s medical care and treatment in emulation of the UK’s failed, bankrupt National Health Service with all the attendant NHS documented horrors, didn’t see fit to mention those horrors nor did it mention the Times‘ oft-repeated denials that death panels were an integral facet of Obamacare.

After all, why confuse doltish Americans with ugly truths?

Besides, the 2008 GOP vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, had raised a huge stink over Obamacare’s provisions for death panels and was roundly lambasted for her ignorance, so why give her credibility for being absolutely right?

To be sure, the Times‘ article published on Saturday, “Coverage for End-of-Life Talks Gaining Ground” by Pam Belluck, does not describe those conversations between doctors and patients now reimbursed by many Medicare and Medicaid plans as death panels.

Nor does it attribute the ground-gaining to pressures from Obamacare administrators on doctors and medical facilities to curtail and/or radically increase charges for everything from annual breast exams to prescriptions.

Instead, Belluck credits the avid Obamacare supporter the American Medical Association and cost-conscious insurance companies for agitating in favor of death panels, now deviously and euphemistically called “advanced care planning” since the term “death panels” is so very unsettling and misleading.

Belluck anecdotally cites the sentiments of 80 year old Mary Pat Penell who allegedly told her doctor during her end-of-life discussion, . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38820.)

Democrat Doublespeak and Dumbspeak

Democrat Doublespeak and Dumbspeak

Merriam-Webster.com defines doublespeak as “language that can be understood in more than one way and that is used to trick or deceive people” and Dictionary.com defines the term as “evasive, ambiguous language that is intended to deceive or confuse,” definitions almost as deceptive as doublespeak itself insofar as they apply to Democrats.

Of the two, the latter definition comes closer to describing how Obama and his designated flack, his minions and fellow liberal-leftists, employ the rhetorical device of doublespeak.

There is only one way to interpret their version of doublespeak. While clearly designed to trick and deceive the American people, their version is more akin to the technique of Hitler’s ”Big Lie” and Orwell’s Big Brother because it leaves no room for other interpretations.

Hitler coined the phrase “big lie” regarding alleged Jewish perfidy in Mein Kampf, his propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels refined it to rationalize the “Final Solution” for the Jewish “problem,” George Orwell popularized it in “1984″ with Big Brother’s “War is Peace,  Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength,” and the Obamians are trying like hell to take the rhetorical device to a whole, new, disturbing level.

Take, for example, the absurd contentions that Obama has “substantially improved the tranquillity of the global community” (White House press flack Josh Earnest), that “Obamacare implementation went great and people love it” (Vox co-founder Matt Yglesias), that  rewarding illegal aliens with American citizenship would “reduce the deficit and increase long-term economic growth” (Democrat Rep. Chris van Hollen), and “businesses are hiring at historic rates” (Joe Biden).

There is next to no tranquility on Planet Earth, Obamacare is widely despised, illegals will exacerbate unemployment and destroy our economy, and the jobs America’s clown prince refers to are predominantly part-time and offer no benefits or future.

Those liberal-leftist excursions into lying fantasy have already been exposed for what they are, lib-left excursions into lying fantasy and Obamian doublespeak.

Similar but less-publicized excursions were tried by the queens of nitwitdom, the now-totally liberal-leftist cast of ABC’s “The View” who took Democrat doublespeak down a few notches to the even lower level of dumbspeak. . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38248.)

Hobby Lobby Redux

Hobby Lobby Redux

Now that Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has seen the error of his ways and somewhat compensated for his 2012 vote in favor of upholding the constitutionality of the misnamed Affordable Care Act, better known unaffectionately as Obamacare, America’s liberal-leftists are very predictably screeching that the sky is falling because of SCOTUS’ Hobby Lobby–Conestoga Wood Specialties Store decision.

They’re claiming that the highest court in the land has enlisted in their fabricated War on Women, that women will be irreparably hurt, or die, or worse as a result of the split 5-4 decision in favor of religious liberty over governmental dictatorship; Marci Hamilton of Yeshiva University, a constitutional law scholar like President Barack Hussein Obama, warned that 80% of U.S. corporations could “now be able to discriminate against their employees;” women’s rights groups such as Planned Parenthood which makes millions performing abortions condemned Monday’s decision by “five male justices,” clearly implying it was just another example of male chauvinism; dissenting Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg believes SCOTUS had “ventured into a minefield” that would disadvantage employees “who do not share their employer’s religious beliefs;” and Obama flack Josh Earnest said that women Congress should act at once to assist women affected by the decision.

Good grief!  Talk about overreaction!  Just because Sandra Fluke may now have to buy her condoms?

Actually, what the Supreme Court decided, although it was a major body blow to the president and to Obamacare, was very limited in scope . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=37874.)
