A Victory for the Benham Brothers!
It's not nice to mess with the close-minded liberal establishment,
according to the close-minded liberal establishment. As the Benham brothers are
well aware, such messing can sometimes be detrimental to television
careers.
As of last week, David and Jason Benham, two young real
estate entrepreneurs, were scheduled to host a new, home-renovation show on the
Home and Garden Television network, “Flip It Forward,” scheduled until an
intolerantly hateful, gay website decided the brothers were much too
conservative regarding liberal hot-button issues and set out to blacklist them
because, well, because the Benhams were just too conservative.
RightWingWatch.org, which identifies itself as ”A project of People
For the American Way,” i.e., bought and paid for by that far liberal-leftist
group, specializes in slandering conservatives and conservative causes.
They caught the attention of HGTV’s liberal-leftists with their May 6 headlined
hit piece, “HGTV Picks Anti-Gay, Anti-Choice Extremist For New Reality TV
Show.”
The headline alone, which didn’t even mention the Benhams’ supposed
hatred for Islam, was sufficient for HGTV to pull the rug on “Flip It Forward”
with the expectation its action would put an end to the brothers’ presumptuous
attempt to get a few conservative voices on television.
And, Right Wing Watch and HGTV succeeded, albeit temporarily. . .
