"Straight White Guy Festival"

"Straight White Guy Festival"

America’s liberal-leftist “progressives” are consistently and liberally progressive when it comes to supporting homosexual rights, gay parades, and same-sex marriages.  They are also consistently and liberally progressive on issues related to African-Americans such as the evils of slavery and Jim Crow laws, discriminatory incarceration, and voter-ID restrictions.

However, just let someone schedule a straight, white guy festival and they get their jockeys all in a twist and effectively render their positions nothing more than exercises in socio-politico hypocrisy!

Recently, flyers began appearing in Ohio advertising such a gala for September 20, 2014, 10 AM to 10 PM to be held at Goodale Park located in the Victorian Village area of Columbus.

The flyer provided no details as to what events the festival would feature aside from an “open stage” and listed only a few prohibitions, including no drugs and no BYOB, although it did indicate that beer would be available, (probably at an exorbitant price).

Well, let me tell you, the lib-left was highly indignant . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38229.)

Holly Fisher Bugs the Left

Holly Fisher Bugs the Left

There’s something about political correctness and related liberal-leftist intolerance toward certain women that I can’t quite put my finger on.  A war on women is indeed being waged in America today, a selective war waged by so-called “progressives” targeting mainly women who take issue with their nonsensical and disturbed attitudes but why are they so incensed?

Could their irrational distaste and anger toward good and decent people spring from their unnatural impulses to despise anyone who  possesses a fundamental sense of decency and morality or is it because good and decent women represent a threat to their perverted life view and feed into their innate sense of self-hating inferiority?

I think both.

Of course, their visceral, continuing contempt for former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin was and is rooted in the fact Mrs. Palin is a conservative, political adversary.  However, the venom has gone far beyond her politics to personal abuse of her family and her religious faith and everything connected with those politically-irrelevant issues.

Another patriotic American, Holly Fisher, recently raised the mindless ire of the lib-left and violated PC ”principles” by daring to assert her First and Second Amendment rights, publicize her Christianity, and demonstrate her respect for human life.
On Independence Day, Holly, a mother of three kids whose husband is serving in the U.S. Army and who is evidently not a big fan of President Barack Hussein Obama, posted two photos on Twitter, one showing her holding a Bible and an AR-15 with an American flag as a backdrop, the other a shot of her sporting a “Pro Life” tee shirt as she carried a Chick-fil-A cup outside a Hobby Lobby store.

As all but low information voters know, ultra-tolerant ”progressives” tolerate everyone and everything–as long as the individuals and ideas involved conform to their rigid philosophy . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=38044.)

"Progressive" Madness

"Progressive" Madness

As Michael Marshall wrote in The Upright Man, ”I don’t know what it is with the mad, but they’ve certainly got force of will. Maybe it’s not having the checks and balances the rest of us have, or perhaps I’m kidding myself: maybe their minds are simply clearer, unclouded with the anxieties and morality that the rest of us are swaddled with. Perhaps they have the courage to point their magical thinking at the stars.”

And, perhaps, like American “progressives,” they’re nuts and so twisted by their ”progressive” madness that they can’t distinguish right from wrong?

How else can we describe so-called “progressives” as anything other than nuts and deranged or, to be a tad merciful, confused and muddled, when they so consistently say things and act as if they had lost what humanity and common sense they ever had?

Contemporary progressives aren’t thinking magically about Marshall’s stars.  More typically, they are inclined to bark at the moon, not pointlessly but rather with misinformed and usually vicious intent directed at their conservative opponents or simply directed at anything and everything most rational Americans value, such as education, religion, national integrity, public safety, even at life itself.

Case in point: National Organization for Women president Terry O’Neill published an editorial on the Huffington Post titled, “Abortion, Like Contraception, Is Essential Health Care That Saves Lives.”  Life.com aptly paraphrased that title as “Babies Wouldn’t Die So Much If We’d Just Kill Them Before They Died.”

If he were on our side, buffoonish VP Joe Biden would surely say that progressives are literally tearing America apart, a reality that is figuratively true.

Take, for example, the current uproar over the imposition of the Common Core State Standards Initiative, a misnomer since that “initiative” for re-vamping American education was hatched in Washington, D.C., not in any of the nation’s 50 states.  Despite widespread parental opposition to the Common Core, opponents are being arrested when they dared to voice their unprogressive disagreement with the salacious Core curriculum, as in the cases of Robert Small in Baltimore and William Baer in Guilford, N.H.

Or, consider chemistry professor at East Carolina University, Eli Hvastkovs, who forbade his graduating students in an email from thanking God in their personal, commencement statements saying that you can thank anyone you wish but, “You can’t thank God. I’m sorry about this–and I don’t want to have to outline the reasons why.”  Hvastkovs could have and should have outlined his reasons, which would have outed him as an atheistic  “progressive” who wanted to impose his lack of belief on the graduates.

And, think of our national policy . . . (Read more at http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=37182.)
